Career

I've recently started a new position as an Applications Administrator for Stream Data Centers! This is a tremendous opportunity for me, this is a fast growing industry. The cloud is here and many fortune 500 companies and hyperscalers are making the switch to SDC.

Home Lab

In order to stay educated and up-to-date on the latest trends in this fast growing field, I have spend many hours buiding a comprehensive home laptop featuring a the following.

Proxmox - a type-1 hypervisor for running on all of my virtual machines and containers.
Uptime Kuma - a basic network monitoring system that runs in a docker container.
Home Assistant - a comprehensive home automation and scripting server that allows me to control my home with zero paid subscriptions.

Network Security

I have implemented robust security measures to protect my home network including a home built router/firewall using an open source project called OPNSense. This allows me to control my network on a much more granular level.

Cloud Computing

I have over 5 years of experience in Azure & Linode, setting up Virtual Machines, Virtual networks, automated patching, blob storage management, and backups.
